DCTOM Entertainment, agency home to Shaun, accused of having connections to Burning Sun

DCTOM Entertainment is accused of having ties to the Burning Sun club. 

On March 22, Kuki News reported the executives of DCTOM Entertainment operated club MU:IN, the "brother club" of Burning Sun. 

According to the report, club MU:IN registered their business as a restaurant instead of an entertainment facility to avoid high taxes. In February, the club abruptly shut down. 

Kuki News emphasized MU:IN and Burning Sun's connection, claiming CEO Park Seung Do of DCTOM Entertainment was the music director of Burning Sun, and every Thursday, the two clubs opened a collaboration party named 'MU:IN Sun.' DCTOM Entertainment artists including Shaun were DJs at the event. 

In response to the report, DCTOM Entertainment stated, "It's true the CEO of DCTOM Entertainment owns a share of MU:IN but the two companies are separate businesses," and said, "DCTOM Entertainment DJs got paid to perform. There is no relation between the Burning Sun and DCTOM Entertainment."

Meanwhile, Shaun is a DCTOM Entertainment artist who was stirred up in a sajaegi (chart manipulation) controversy for "Way Back Home." The song became controversial for beating TWICE's "Dance the Night Away" and placing first on multiple music charts.
