The 'Green Umbrella Children's Foundation' also stated, "IU has consistently donated to the children of low-income families and students, and after hearing the news of the fire, she donated 100 million Won. IU's donation of 100 million Won will go towards the children of low-income families, children living with elderly grandparents, and children with single parents who were affected by the fires."
Though the Gangwon Province wildfire has been put out, there was a large amount of property lost. One man in his 50s lost his life, while one other person suffered an injury.
