Overwhelming mentions lead to permanent muting of BTS V's real name, Taehyung, on Twitter and Twipple Japan

BTS V's explosive popularity has left fans in a dilemma as due to excessive mentions, Twitter and Twipple algorithms have muted his name, Taehyung. 

After every event, multiple keywords related to V take to worldwide trends. However, his real name has not been spotted on the Twitter trends of any country. Before it was muted, 'Taehyung' would trend with over 3M mentions on normal occasions. When checked on alternative statistical sites, Taehyung's mentions still cross the 1M+ mark on any normal day, but that is never reflected on Twitter Worldwide trends.

V's name has been flagged as a common word by Twitter. It has the same chances of trending that common words like 'the' and 'but' have; none at all. Even his full name has stopped appearing on worldwide trends. 

Fans have been struggling with this issue for the past year with Twitter and were absolutely devastated when Twipple Japan muted his name recently. 

V is the highest-ranking foreign celebrity on Twipple Japan, and he often trends higher than BTS. However, it was revealed that only his full name, 'Kim Taehyung,' can trend. 

Exasperated, fans took to tagging Twipple Trends on Twitter and requested them to look into this matter. His full name, Kim Taehyung, trended on Twipple Japan. 

V has such a great social media presence that even his dog, Yeontan, trends worldwide. It is tragic that while the pet, or perhaps any other thing that V mentions, trends instantly, he himself has been unable to. 

Fans have lost hope that Twitter will fix anything. For them, seeing Taehyung trend again is a dream that refuses to come true.
