Jimin has always been known for his honey vocals that add flavor and color to all of BTS's songs. Chris Martin, along with non-fans, and fans were all in awe of his voice, proving once again that Jimin is a vocal powerhouse.
BTS recently collaborated with the legendary British rock band Coldplay and released My Universe on September 24. A documentary for the making of the song was later released on September 26. From this footage, Jimin is seen to leave everyone in the recording studio with chills as he recorded his part of the song, despite the fact that this part was less than 5 seconds. Chris Martin specifically hails his vocals and his delivery with a wide heartfelt, and satisfied smile on his face.
Chris had specifically asked Jimin to take that line and demonstrated how he would have liked for it to sound, showing that he wanted a high range for the part. After Jimin sang the part in the recording booth, Chris said it was great and sounded good, showing his complete satisfaction with Jimin's delivery, just as he had envisioned it.

This footage was just a confirmation of what fans had already speculated in the earlier days when Coldplay released a snippet of the song on the band's social media for promotional purposes. The bit of the song posted included Jimin's part at the center, which was an indication of the part being a highlight of the song.

As expected, Jimin's line did elicit reactions from fans and non-fans alike. Coldplay fans and locals immediately picked on his heavenly voice. They wanted to know who the person singing that line was, further indicating that Jimin's singing was a highlight of the song. It being included in the promotional material was definitely going to drive up curiosity about the music.
As if that was not enough, as Coldplay fans, ARMY and locals kept talking about the song in anticipation of its release, searches on Twitter showed that Jimin's line had generated much interest from fans.

With all the excitement about how good Jimin sounded, fans could not wait to hear him in the song. On the day of the release of the song, Jimin quickly got into Twitter trends in South Korea, rising up to #3 as the highest trending member, as fans praised his enchanting voice, despite it being only a few seconds. Fans continued to gush over him for the next several hours, as Jimin remained in the trends list even after three hours had passed since the song's official release.

In one of the posts, one netizen specifically points out that Jimin's voice stands out in the song, others wondered who had sprinkled gold powder on his voice, and another says that while all BTS members have good voices, Jimin seems to be the one who brings the sparkle to the songs.
