'Jimtober' is a term coined by Jimin's fans to refer to the month of October, Jimin's birthday month. It is a combination of 'Jimin' and 'October' and the celebration starts at the beginning of the month till the very last day. During this month, the fans prepare and partake in a wide range of projects in celebration of Jimin's birthday. Usually, the projects include activities such as animal adoptions, donations to charity causes, and community projects. It can also involve grand scale fancy projects aimed to promote publicity for Jimin. This year, various fanbases have already announced their projects despite the month of celebrations being a month away.

On August 25, an anonymous supporter set up a fundraiser in which the proceeds would be used to support the 'Caritas Manila's Hunger & Malnutrition' campaign, in honor of Jimin's upcoming 27th birthday. Caritas Manila provides a platform for individuals to set up their own campaigns in an effort to support the organization's cause of fighting against hunger and malnutrition. Jimin's fans are committed to showing kindness and helping to alleviate any form of suffering by vulnerable groups in society, just like Jimin would do.
Caritas Manila's peer-to-peer platform lets you create your own campaign as a way to support our Hunger & Malnutrition campaign. In lieu of physical gatherings and material gifts, we encourage you to celebrate special occasions by helping those most in need through a fundraiser.

We've even seen our tweet reach BTS fans from different parts of the world! We assure you that your charitable acts help feed the hungry and malnourished during these trying times.

In Malaysia, two of Jimin's fanbases are also striving for the same cause of helping those in need. As announced on August 28, JIMIN's DIARY in partnership with JIMIN MALAYSIA will be organizing a charity event under Jimin's name to help those in need, especially with the deterioration living conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Spreading kindness and helping others when they are in need is a character that Jimin possesses, and therefore such a deed is befitting for honoring his big day.
As the world going through pandemic, we would like to take this chance to spread kindness to help others. 😇

The same fanbase, in collaboration with yet another Jimin fan, have adopted a White Bengal Tiger and an African Lion under Jimin's name. The adoptions were to celebrate the country's independence day.

In Kenya, Jimin's fanbase Jimin Kenya in partnership with Jimin Africa also adopted a baby elephant by the name 'Thamana', according to their announcement on September 1. The adoption is also one of the projects they have prepared in celebration of Jimin's birthday, and it will take effect from October 13, the day of Jimin's birthday. Thamana is a Swahili name that means 'value', and it is heartwarming for the fanbase to place value on the baby elephant's life by adopting him to help in raising him to live a comfortable life. Thamana is one of the many orphaned elephants that have been rescued by the Sheldrick Wildlife organization in Kenya.
According to the organization's website, Thamana was born on October 30, 2018; therefore, he shares his birthday month with Jimin. The adoption in itself can be considered his birthday gift too for a beautiful year ahead.
As Jimin is known to love animals immensely, this is a very meaningful project in celebration of his birth.

Some other fans of Jimin have also initiated a project to build a home for a family, in honor of Jimin's birthday. Norielyn Camacho made a TikTok video on September 2, announcing the project to 'Build home and give love for Tatay Abyot Family', which would see the family's house renovated.

Another of Jimin's fanbases in Chile, PARK JIMIN Chile, has set up a project to collect funds for Chiloé Silvestre, to support the Rescue, Rehabilitation, Education, and Investigation of Wild Fauna in danger. The Chiloé Silvestre center operations are dependent on volunteers, with the financing of the same operations being solely dependent on donations. This is why it is important to support this cause.
The project was announced on August 18, where the fanbase explained that animals that are rescued enter a rehabilitation process, and if there is a positive response seen within a specific period of time, then the animal is released back into its natural habitat. However, if there is no improvement and the injuries are serious, then the animals remain in the center forever.
Dr. Javier Cabello is one of the doctors in charge of the operations at Chiloé Silvestre, and the center is the main promoter of the rescue and rehabilitation of the Chilean native deer (Pudú). The species is considered "Vulnerable" according to its Conservation status, as many of the animals lose their lives due to injuries or being run over. Of note is that the rescue operations also pose danger to the animals, in that they could be harmed if not handled properly. Hence, it is important that this work is only done by professionals.
