Newspapers and television networks from around the world covered the wonderful celebrations prepared by fans in honor of his day. Busan Ilbo, a local newspaper in Busan, featured the 'thematic projection show' on Busan Tower that took place on October 13 for 2 hours from 20:00 to 22:00, under the organization of Jimin's Chinese fanbase PARKJIMINBAR. The show included some birthday wishes and 'Happy Jimin Day' lighting up the whole tower. This was the first birthday support project ever performed by Busan Tower, a landmark in the city of Busan, thereby making history. The project was bound to draw attention with its landmark status and the region being the city's most vibrant area. The newspaper published the event in the October 15 issue. That his birthday projects by fans are covered in the local newspaper, Jimin really is the Prince of Busan.

The nationwide pay television network, JTBC, also mentioned Jimin and his birthday. While covering the news, one of the news anchors randomly sent Jimin his 'happy birthday' wishes, taking the second news anchor by surprise. Her surprise could have been due to South Korean news programs' strict and somber nature, yet the partner in the show just went for it. Jimin is really South Korea's Pride, and it would appear that exceptions can be made for him in news programs.
The news division for this television network has established and positioned itself at par with the reputation level of the news divisions of South Korea's three main terrestrial networks, namely KBS, SBS, and MBC. Therefore, it was a significant occurrence for a news anchor from such a television network to specifically take the time to send his birthday wishes to Jimin while on a news broadcast.

One of the three major networks in South Korea covered Jimin's birthday in a news broadcast. MBC News reported on a number of birthday support projects for Jimin, organized by PARKJIMINBAR. One of the projects mentioned was the full-scale promotion for Jimin in both 'The Times' and 'The New York Times' simultaneously. Both newspapers are reputable and influential in the UK and the US, respectively, making this a high-profile and prestigious project. Once again, both newspapers had never accepted birthday support projects before, and Jimin made history as the first person ever to be honored with such a project, a fact that the news feature specifically mentioned. The ad in both newspapers had images of Jimin on a full page, with some of his notable career achievements. The New York Times published the advertisement on October 13, while the Times published it on October 15.
The news feature further mentioned the 'helicopter banner project' in New York, US, and in Gold Coast, Australia, also organized by PARKJIMINBAR. Again it was a 'first in the world' kind of project for Jimin's birthday support. Another major television network, KBS News, also reported about the donation drives that Jimin's fans have been holding in honor of his birthday. The news reported that such donations have been held for the past three years, amounting to 1,292 donations in Jimin's name as of now. The reporter mentions how relevant the drive was for this year, given the blood shortage being experienced in the country due to the pandemic. With such a meaningful project out of consideration for the health of many people in the country, it is not surprising that a reputable news network prepared a feature on it.

Journalists also covered the 'Jimin theme park' at the Common Ground, prepared by Jimin's Korean fanbases ALLFORJIMIN and JAMJAM. Filming equipment and a drone were spotted on the site, ready for filming. The Common Ground is not only South Korea's but also the world's first and largest container pop-up shopping mall, hence a strategic point to attract attention. This project brought so much traffic to the shopping mall, thereby facilitating economic benefits to traders at the malls. For this reason, it was extended for another for longer than initially planned for.

In the Philippines, the television news broadcasting show 'Balitanghali' aired on GTV, reported about the new world records that Jimin achieved with the number of worldwide trends on his birthday. Mainly, Jimin occupied 28 worldwide trends simultaneously as fans sent him congratulatory messages and wished him a happy birthday.
