Jimin is continuing to show his brand power and popularity in line with the sales figures for the January special edition issue of GQ magazine, where his cover has now been at the top of the best-seller charts for seven consecutive days on three different official South Korean platforms, which also happen to be three of the biggest online bookstores in the country. Jimin's cover also ranked first in best sellers among the Hot New Releases in the entertainment category on Amazon Japan and has now been the first and only one to go out of stock on the Kyobook platform.
The January issue of the magazine was the product of a collaboration between GQ Korea and Vogue Korea for the first time in history, and it features BTS on the cover. The special edition consists of 8 different covers, including 7 individual covers for the seven members and a group cover. Jimin's individual cover has been recording the highest sales figures in South Korea and Japan ever since pre-orders were opened for the magazine. As previously reported, It was the first cover to sell over 1500 copies on GMarket just a few hours after pre-orders were opened, and it was the #1 best seller on Yes24, Aladin, and Kyobobook stores in South Korea for four days straight, as well as being the only cover with the 'popular' label on Yahoo Japan official online store for 3 consecutive days.
Sales reports for days 5, 6, and 7, which is December 15th, 16th, and 17th, show that Jimin's cover has continued to maintain its #1 bestseller position on all three platforms, making it the #1 best seller for a full week. Additionally, the cover is now out of stock on the Kyobobook store, the first and only one to do so as of December 17, 00:30 am KST
