Actress Seol In Ah reportedly cast as female lead in new drama 'Oasis' set in the 1980s~1990s

Actress Seol In Ah, well-known for her appearance in the successful drama 'Business Proposal', has reportedly been cast in the new drama 'Oasis'.

On May 25 KST, an official from the entertainment industry told one exclusive media outlet, "Seol In Ah has been cast as the main character of KBS 2TV's new drama 'Oasis'." 

'Oasis' is set during the turbulent times in Korea from the 1980s to the 1990s. It depicts the story of a fierce life, revenge, and conflict of young people who faced a reality that pressured them to catch up with those with power, wealth, and wrong social values. Seol In Ah will be playing the role of Oh Jung Shin (also known as Sophia). Born in 1961, Oh Jung Shin is the daughter of [parents running the] Namhae Theater. After moving to Seoul, she meets Doo Hak and Chul Woong after while school in Yeosu. After parting ways with Doo Hak with much heartbreak, Oh Jung Shin jumps into the film industry to revive the theater.

Notably, actor Jang Dong Yoon has been offered the role of Lee Doo Hak, and is positively reviewing his offer.
