The popular TV Chosun show 'Huh Young Man's Food Travel' has officially ended its first season after a successful 7-year run. The conclusion comes as the 77-year-old host and legendary comic artist, Huh Young Man, recently suffered a fall. He was treated in the intensive care unit and is currently focusing on his recovery.
On June 21, the show aired a special episode summarizing its incredible journey. Since its premiere in 2019, the program has introduced 1,329 local restaurants and 2,131 traditional meals across the country. The finale revisited its very first featured restaurant in Gangjin and highlighted how the show helped revitalize local businesses and small shops over the years, turning places like the Mullae-dong steel alley into hotspots for younger generations.
The special episode also looked back at memorable moments with top star guests, including Psy, Kim Hee Sun, Sung Si Kyung, and Son Suk Ku. To wrap up the season, the broadcast shared touching letters from restaurant owners thanking the show for bringing them more customers and reviving their businesses. The production team added a final on-screen message looking back at their 2,609-day journey and wishing for the host's speedy recovery.
