Jang Dong Yoon and Lee Joo Myung are set to play the lead roles in the upcoming wrestling romantic comedy 'Flowers Bloom Even in the Sand'.
'Flowers Bloom Even in the Sand' will follow young people who are struggling to succeed in the ssireum (traditional wrestling) ring in the city of Geosan. Jang Dong Yoon is taking on the role of wrestler Kim Baek Doo, who's the youngest son of a famous ssireum family, while Lee Joo Myung is playing the role of management team leader Oh Yoo Kyung.
Yoon Jong Seok, Kim Bo Ra, Lee Jae Joon, and Lee Joo Seung have also been cast in the drama. Director Kim Jin Woo, who was behind 'A Model Family', 'Queen of Mystery', 'Suits', and 'Love Alarm Season 2', and writer Won Yoo Jung are collaborating for the project.
'Flowers Bloom Even in the Sand' is set to premiere in the second half of 2023.
