'Genie, Earth' starring Lee Sang Yup & Apink's Eunji denies cancellation rumors

The upcoming drama 'Genie, Earth' has denied cancellation rumors.

On June 20, reports stated 'Genie, Earth' was recently canceled during the pre-production process. The new fantasy romantic-comedy action drama stars A Pink's Eunji and Lee Sang Yup and tells the story of a former prosecutor who develops superpowers and a former special forces instructor as they attempt to save the world.

The producers of 'Genie, Earth' have denied the cancellation rumors, however. Production stated, "There was an article about the production falling apart, but that's not true. We're currently negotiation broadcast programming. It's true we originally planned to negotiate broadcast programming for the drama after it was filmed as a pre-produced series. However, there was a change in the schedule, so we negotiated the broadcast programming first. That does not mean production was canceled."
