K-netizens respond to BIG Naughty suddenly leaving a performance to kiss his girlfriend offstage

BIG Naughty has found himself in some controversy regarding his performance etiquette. On June 4 KST, BIG Naughty took the stage at the 'Tone & Music Festival 2023' held at Olympic Park in Seoul. After singing for a while, he left the stage in the middle of his performance to go and kiss a woman. The woman was known to be BIG Naughty's girlfriend.

Some fans criticized BIG Naughty's actions through social media and online communities. Many fans pointed out that it may be a romantic action for the two of them, but it was a sudden and suspicious action for the paying audience. It is also questionable whether the action was prearranged with the organizers. Fans were further angered because of past instances where the rapper seemed to have little regard for the fans by arriving to performances late. 

In response to the fans' reactions, an official from H1gher Music stated, "We were made aware of the controversy over the attitude on stage, and we are looking into it."

In response to the controversy, netizens shared their thoughts on a Korean online community. 

"It reminds me of the kissing scene of Ahn Jae Wook and Choi Jin Sil in 'Star in My Heart' in my childhood."

"During the performance? Aren't you making money? I'm paying money to go to a concert, that's crazy."

Since then, during a live SNS broadcast on June 7 KST, BIG Naughty said, “I was careless about the attitude controversy that arose at the ‘Tone and Music Festival 2023’. I'm sorry.” 

He continued by saying, "I've never taken (the fans' love) for granted. It will always be like that. There was a gap in my actions and thoughts,” and “It may sound bad, but it was lacking. sorry. I will live with a grateful heart to the people I work with and the people who prepared and came to see the performance.”
