Jimin has grown into a household name in the entertainment industry, not just in the music sphere but also in the film segment. What is more, his overwhelming popularity is not only limited to fans or to his home country, but is also evident in global mainstream entertainment, especially in Hollywood movies. Numerous occurrences over the years have proven this fact and this continues to be the case to this day.
The 'Barbie Movie' starring Ryan Gosling as Ken and Margot Robbie as Barbie is currently what the entire world is talking about, ahead of its highly anticipated premiere. On July 19, the Barbie Movie's official account on Twitter posted a pre-recorded video where Ryan (Ken) gave a major shout out to Jimin regarding an outfit he wore previously in the BTS' 'Permission to Dance' music video. It so happens that this outfit worn by Jimin is the same outfit that Ken has in the Barbie movie! Nothing screams impact more than being specifically recognized by the main cast from the biggest movie in the world!
In this video, Ryan says that Jimin wore the outfit first and that he definitely wore it best. He then goes on to offer a guitar as his most priced possession, in accordance to what he calls an unspoken 'Ken-code' regarding wearing the same outfits as Ken. Watch the video below!

This is not the first time that Jimin has been linked to a big Hollywood movie production. Previously, his first ever self written, composed and produced song 'Friends' was selected as one of the OSTs for the Hollywood blockbuster 'Eternals' by Marvel Studios, one of the biggest film producers in the world. Jimin became the first Korean soloist to be involved in any OST for such a big film production slated for global release!
It was such big news and his involvement saw a major positive impact for the project in terms of both publicity and revenue from tickets, so much so that the Eternals team and Marvels Studios also acknowledged his influence.

In a different case, Jimin was an inspiration for one of the characters (Taeyoung) in Pixar's animated film titled 'Turning Red' as it had been speculated by fans and later confirmed by the film's director. Everything from the character's physical appearance to his mannerisms was a total reflection of Jimin, and this shows how widely he is recognized and how many eyes are on him even outside of music!

More recently, Jimin participated alongside other artists, in the singing of the MAIN OST for the 'Fast X' movie, the 10th film from the 'Fast and Furious' franchise. This is undoubtedly the biggest and most popular movie franchise in the world. Therefore, again, it was major news as Jimin became the first Korean artist to be specifically sought out to participate in such a big scale project as a singer for the Main OST!
What is more, the weight of his involvement in the project was evident from the special treatment he got from the producers, such as being the focus of all the promotional material for the movie, as well as being credited as the main artist for the OST on all the music buying and streaming platforms.
