MONSTA X Shownu x Hyungwon's 'M! Countdown' selca deleted & re-uploaded after fans spot an e-cigarette in Shownu's hand

On July 27, the MONSTA X unit Shownu x Hyungwon held their debut stage on Mnet's 'M! Countdown'.

And to raise anticipation ahead of Shownu and Hyungwon's full "Love Me A Little" performance, 'M! Countdown' revealed a set of waiting room selcas.

However, the SNS post was then deleted, and re-uploaded with different selcas shortly afterward. It turned out, in one of the original selcas, Shownu had been holding an e-cigarette in his hand. 

In the new set of selcas uploaded in the replacement post, there is nothing visible in his hands. 

Netizens expressed their regret over the incident, commenting,

"I mean, Monbebe don't really care, but it doesn't hurt to be more careful."

"It's a selca that you know is going to be made public... you should have had enough sense to put that down before taking the pic."

"Anyone can tell it's a mistake but... be more careful next time!"

"It must feel so natural in his hand that he didn't even realize he was holding it..."

"The staff also didn't check the photos properly. Cigarettes of all kind blurred on public broadcasts in Korea."

"Well actually for Monbebe, this isn't even the first time something like this has happened so... but do be more cautious during schedules."
