Traditionally, Instagram's top accounts were determined by the number of followers they amassed. However, HypeAuditor’s latest research has uncovered an entirely new approach to assessing Instagram's elite.

For years, the same familiar names, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Leo Messi, and Selena Gomez, have held the top positions on Instagram based on their massive follower counts.

HypeAuditor decided to break away from the standard conventions by compiling a list of the top 10 Instagram accounts, not based on the number of followers, but on the average number of likes received on their last 12 posts.

Our research has unveiled that there are only 10 accounts worldwide that consistently average over 5 million likes on their posts.

Remarkably, five members of the iconic Korean group BTS have secured their places among the top 10, alongside two members of BLACKPINK. The remaining three spots have been claimed by international icons Cristiano Ronaldo, the music sensation Taylor Swift, and the multi-talented Zendaya Maree Stoermer.

The data highlights the incredible sway held by K-pop stars. Not only do their fans faithfully follow their content and subscribe to their accounts, but they also actively engage with their posts by generously leaving likes.
