"It's not something just anyone can handle," Kim Chung Ha opens up about the challenges of hosting a radio show

Kim Chung Ha recently opened up about her new start as a radio show host.

On November 5 KST, the idol appeared as a guest on KBS Cool FM's 'Park Myung Soo's Radio Show,' where host Park Myung Soo asked her about her recent activities.

"Just like you, I've been a radio DJ for 'Volume Up' from 8 AM to 10 AM every day," she responded.

In response to a question about whether it has been challenging, she continued, "It was a little challenging at first as I was getting used to things, but now I'm adapting, and it's been going well."

To this, Park Myung Soo jokingly replied, "If it's too difficult, speak up. Many people are waiting in line [to host that radio show]. You can quit right away, so let the higher-ups know," making Kim Chung Ha burst into laughter.

Next, when asked about the differences between being a radio DJ and appearing as a radio show guest, the idol pointed out, "Some good things are that you can interact with many people and regain your energy. Being able to empathize with one another is an advantage."

She candidly added, "There seem to be many challenging aspects too. [If you're a radio host,] you should have a quick wit and speak fluidly, and you need to be good at time management when guests come. It's not something just anyone can handle."

As her DJ senior, Park Myung Soo offered words of encouragement, saying, "You're learning step by step, so I think you could become a famous radio DJ in the future. [...] I listen to Chung Ha's radio show sometimes, so I hope that you do well." He then joked that he usually asks higher-ups to get rid of someone, but that is definitely not the case for her.

Meanwhile, Kim Chung Ha may be performing at Park Myung Soo's 31st anniversary concert next year. During the broadcast, he mentioned that Seventeen and TXT will be joining, and Sunmi may be as well. He then asked Chung Ha if she would also be able to guest, and when she readily agreed, he responded, "Then let's make it official." He said they are currently looking into booking Gocheok Sky Dome.
