NCT's Haechan caught smoking an e-cigarette in a behind the scenes practice video

NCT member Haechan was captured smoking an e-cigarette in a recent behind the scenes practice video for NCT 127's new winter single, "Be There For Me". 

For just a few seconds early on in the video, Haechan was caught in the camera's frame with his e-cigarette in his hand, taking a break while getting ready for practice. 

Seeing this, some netizens commented, 

"Why do so many celebrities smoke indoors..."

"I'm pretty sure it's illegal to smoke in that building. The fine is $78.00." 

"I've never had to deal with someone so rude that they would smoke indoors in the same space as me. I don't know if I'm lucky or what but to me, that's generally how well Koreans abide by smoking laws. So why won't celebrities follow the same laws?"

"Would it kill him to go smoke on the roof?"

However, others weighed in with comments like,

"Even if he was caught smoking that thing outside, you people would have come up with one excuse or another to attack him."

"It looks like one of those ones that doesn't give off much smoke."

"If he's smoking there, that most likely means he got permission from the company to do so. Is it really your business?"

"Some of the blame should be placed on the video editors for not catching that right away."

"Do you people actually expect celebrities, especially idols who are followed around by sasaeng stalkers 24/7, to actually stroll in at a nearby smoking area and chat up others around them while they take a smoke break?"

The behind the scenes video in question has since been edited, and the scene is no longer included in the edited version.
