K-netizens react to NCT's Renjun revealing an ordinary civilian's phone number

NCT's Renjun has apologized for accidentally revealing a private individual's phone number.

Previously, SM Entertainment issued a formal apology after Renjun shared the number on the Bubble messaging app, mistakenly identifying it as belonging to a Sasaeng (obsessive fan). 

However, the number's owner, Ms. C, clarified she had unintentionally called Renjun. Ms. C criticized SM Entertainment for not directly apologizing to her and revealed that Renjun's manager initially questioned if she was a Sasaeng. Ms. C reported the incident to the police, demanding a proper apology from SM, as she faced harassment and had to change her phone number. Renjun has now issued a personal apology on his Instagram account.

Following apologies from both the label and the artist, Korean netizens have taken to social media platforms and popular online communities to criticize Renjun's careless act. The incident has sparked widespread discussion, with many expressing their disappointment and frustration over the mishandling of the situation.
