"I'm happily nervous," EXO's Chanyeol stands on his own in his first solo concert in 12 years

Chanyeol successfully wrapped up his first solo Seoul concerts in 12 years, creating an emotional and dynamic experience for his fans.

2024 CHANYEOL LIVE TOUR: 都市風景 (City-scape), held on September 6–7 at Blue Square Mastercard Hall in Seoul, received positive feedback for its mix of live band performances, various musical styles, and heartfelt conversations about his emotions and daily life.

During the concert, the EXO member showcased all the tracks from his first solo album, performing with his guitar on songs like the title track "Black Out," "I’m on your side too," and "Back Again." He also captivated fans with a charming performance of "Clover" and danced alongside performers in "Ease Up." Other standout moments included a dramatic rendition of "Hasta La Vista" with a fog screen and stand microphone.

In addition to his solo works like "Tomorrow" and "Nothin'," Chanyeol performed unit songs with Sehun such as "What a Life" and "On Me," along with EXO hits like "Lotto," "Tempo," and "Obsession." He also treated the audience to covers, including BIBI’s "BamYangGang" and OST tracks like "Stay With Me" and "Yours." Immersive stage effects, including VCRs, lights, and fog, matched the mood of each song, enhancing the audience experience.

As the show concluded, Chanyeol expressed his gratitude, saying, "The nerves I felt while preparing transformed into excitement when I saw EXO-Ls (fandom name). You are my motivation and source of energy. I’m so grateful to make music, and I’ll keep working hard to show you the best of me."

Fans, dressed in black and red, surprised Chanyeol with slogan and sing-along events, further warming the atmosphere. In response, Chanyeol gave an encore performance of "Back Again," delighting the crowd.

Following the Seoul leg, Chanyeol will continue his tour across 10 cities in Asia, including Ho Chi Minh, Manila, Bangkok, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya, Jakarta, and Hong Kong.
