Girls' Generation's YoonA has donated 100 million KRW (~74,092 USD) to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation.
On October 11, YoonA's agency, SM Entertainment, announced that YoonA donated a total of 100 million KRW, combining the entire proceeds from the merchandise sales of her birthday pop-up event 'So Wonderful Day,' held for her fans in May, along with her personal funds.
In the spirit of sharing this meaningful experience with her fans, YoonA made the donation in the names of both herself and 'So Wonderful Day.' The funds will be used to cover medical expenses for children suffering from pediatric cancer, rare diseases, and incurable illnesses.
YoonA became the first idol to join the Honor Society in 2015, drawing attention. Since then, she has consistently made donations at the end of each year to support those in need and has contributed her talents through various charity activities.
Meanwhile, YoonA will soon appear in director Lee Sang Geun’s upcoming film 'The Devil Came to Live Here,' following his work on 'Exit.'
