Broadcaster Kim Eo Jun testifies martial law plan included the assassination of Han Dong Hoon (leader of People Power Party)

On December 13, Broadcaster and YouTuber Kim Eo Jun claimed he received a tip-off regarding a plot to assassinate People Power Party leader Han Dong Hoon in connection with the recent martial law crisis.

Kim Eo Jun made this statement as he appeared as a witness during a parliamentary inquiry on the martial law crisis held by the National Assembly's Committee on Science, ICT, Broadcasting, and Communications. When Chairperson Choi Min Hee asked Kim if he had received any information aside from the existence of "assassination squads targeting politicians," Kim responded with these allegations.

Kim Eo Jun was reportedly on the list of individuals targeted for arrest by martial law forces during the crisis.

According to Kim Eo Jo, the information he received included plans to “assassinate Han Dong Hoon while he was being detained and transport.””. He also mentioned a plan to “simulate a rescue mission” for figures like Cho Kuk, Yang Jung Chul, and Kim Eo Jun while they were being transported, only for them to escape under the guise of a rescue attempt.

Additionally, Kim claimed to have heard of a plan to bury North Korean army uniforms in specific locations and later "discover" them, framing North Korea as the perpetrator. He also mentioned a plan to kill several U.S. soldiers to provoke the United States into launching an airstrike against North Korea.

Kim further stated that he had received tips regarding a potential biochemical terror attack. He admitted, “I haven’t been able to verify all the facts, but since it sounded so outrageous and like something out of a novel, I’ll at least share part of the source: It came from a friendly country with an embassy in South Korea.”

On the same day, Democratic Party leader Lee Jae Myung was asked for his opinion on Kim’s claims during a meeting with reporters at the National Assembly. Lee responded, “It’s absurd,” but added, “It’s the kind of thing you could imagine that group planning.”

The allegations have sparked public shock and controversy, as the claims involve assassination plots, North Korean false-flag tactics, and attempts to provoke U.S. military intervention.
