BTS member Jungkook has made a surprise return to Instagram, launching a new account nearly two years after deleting his previous one with over 50 million followers.
On July 15, Jungkook opened a new account under the handle @mnijungkook. By 4:30 p.m. KST that same day, his follower count had already surpassed 1.2 million. During a live stream with BTS members on fan platform Weverse, Jungkook confirmed the account was real, playfully saying, “My name is Jungkook.”
Back in February 2023, Jungkook shocked fans by deleting his previous account, clarifying it was a personal decision and not due to hacking. “I deleted Instagram because I stopped using it. I probably won’t be back,” he said at the time.
His unexpected return has sparked excitement among fans worldwide, with many welcoming him back enthusiastically. Meanwhile, BTS is preparing for a group comeback in the spring of 2026.
