BLACKPINK has once again proven that their title of "Queens of the Music Industry" is well deserved, having been crowned by multiple critics and specialized media as one of the Most Influential Artists of this decade, and their countless records obtained both as a group and individually were just the beginning of their transcendental musical career.
Now, according to MTV's recent announcement, BLACKPINK has just received a nomination for "Group of the Year," joining Lisa, Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo in the acclaimed 2025 nominations. Thanks for this, BLACKPINK just made history at the VMAs as the First Group nominated both collectively and with each member individually in the same year.
Rosé holds the record for most nominations by a K-pop Act, being the categories "Video Of The Year", "Song Of The Year", "Best Collaboration", "Best Pop", "Best K-pop", "Best Direction", "Best Art Direction" and "Best Visual Effects" with her hits: "APT" and "Toxic till the End"
Jennie and Jisoo earned their first VMA nomination as solo artists in the 'Best K-Pop' category with their respective hits "Like JENNIE" and "Earthquake", while Lisa, the K-Pop Soloist with the Most Wins in VMA history, scored her 6th nomination in the same category as well.
