BLACKPINK's LISA has been appointed as an Amazing Thailand Ambassador to promote Thai tourism in 2026

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced BLACKPINK's Lisa as the "Amazing Thailand Ambassador," representing Thai tourism worldwide. In this role, she will embody and showcase the image and charm of Thailand, her home country, as a premium tourist destination.

TAT Director Thapanee Kiatphaibool said: "Collaborating with Lisa as an ambassador marks another important milestone in bringing the charm, diversity and wonder of Thailand to life in a fresh light, inspiring both Thai and international visitors to discover the magic of Amazing Thailand together. This collaboration will help increase the visibility of our campaigns, positioning Thailand as a luxury destination and driving growth in a variety of areas. It will also reflect Thailand as a leading, high-quality travel destination, building trust among tourists looking to create lasting memories at every stage of their journey."

As an example of Lisa's power, the director cited the global superstar's craving for dumplings in Buriram, which boosted sales and expanded the food industry. The image of Thai textiles she visited also increased awareness of them internationally, boosting sales. Similarly, the Hong Thai inhaler has become a global phenomenon. Likewise, when she enjoyed her favorite Thai food on her Spotify Billions Club plate.
