'2026 Golden Disc Awards' winners list revealed at historic 40th ceremony

The countdown has officially begun for the 'Golden Disc Awards.' The '2026 Golden Disc Awards' are set to kick off in less than an hour, with the red carpet event scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM KST (1:30 PM IST). The main ceremony for the '40th Golden Disc Awards with Upbit' will follow at 6:30 PM KST (3:00 PM IST) at the Taipei Dome, the largest indoor venue in the city.

Widely regarded as the oldest, most fair, and most prestigious Korean music awards ceremony, the GDAs will be hosted by singer Sung Si Kyung and actress Moon Ga Young. Celebrating four decades since its inauguration in 1986, the 40th GDAs recognize the most impactful contributions to the K-pop industry released between November 2024 and November 2025.

Trend-setting artists such as Jennie, MONSTA X, IVE, ENHYPEN, Stray Kids, ZEROBASEONE, LE SSERAFIM, NCT WISH, CORTIS, and CLOSE YOUR EYES are set to take the stage as performing artists.

Meanwhile, top K-drama stars Byeon Woo Seok, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Song Joong Ki will appear as award presenters, alongside Taiwanese celebrities Jolin Tsai and Hsu Kuang Han. The ceremony is being livestreamed via Naver CHZZK in Korea, ABEMA in Japan, TVBS and Disney+ in Taiwan, and PRIZM for global viewers. Here’s how the night is unfolding in Taiwan.
