Contrasting truck protests are currently taking place over ALPHA DRIVE ONE's Geonwoo.
On February 18, a fan organization based in Korea caught major attention when they announced they were fundraising for a 'funeral wreath protest' over Geonwoo. The post quickly gained traction, and soon after, the fan account revealed they would be sending funeral wreaths to company headquarters on February 21.

"Funeral Wreath Protest Information:
We will be sending funeral wreaths to demand an official statement and responsible action in regards to the current issue.
Date and Time: February 21st (Sat) at 12:00 PM
Location: In front of the main entrance of CJ ENM Center
We ask those who wish to participate individually to focus your messages on expressing a clear stance."
The organizers clarified that they want action to be taken based on whether the allegations against Geonwoo are true or not: if the allegations are false, then WAKEONE should issue a statement saying Geonwoo is innocent; if the allegations are true, then WAKEONE should remove Geonwoo from the group.
The organized funeral wreath protest quickly sparked backlash, particularly from international fans. In response, a 'counter-protest' has been planned. Multiple fanbases have coordinated to send protest trucks to WAKEONE for a total of 8 days, demanding immediate action to protect Geonwoo. The organizers stated, "As the agency responsible for protecting their artist, WAKEONE must take legal action against malicious content towards Geonwoo and publicly show their commitment to safeguarding Geonwoo."

Meanwhile, Geonwoo has been caught up in controversy since the first accusations of his 'verbal abuse' came out a week ago. An anonymous post stated that Geonwoo had verbally attacked the floor director at MBC - even calling the director a "fat a**." Later, additional industry insiders came forward to testify about another incident in which Geonwoo had cursed at staff and showed "bad character."
The recent allegations also caused discussion of a previous incident to resurface, in which Geonwoo faced accusations of bullying a fellow trainee. At the time, Geonwoo ended up writing a letter of apology to that trainee.
Currently, speculation over the 'verbal abuse' allegations is only increasing, as fans wait for ALPHA DRIVE ONE's company WAKEONE to release an official statement clarifying the matter.
