Veteran actor Lee Jae Ryong apprehended by police after driving into a median strip while drunk

Veteran actor Lee Jae Ryong has been apprehended by police for driving into a median strip while drunk, then fleeing the scene. 

According to reports, Lee Jae Ryong crashed into a structure occupying a median strip near Samseong Jungang Station in Seoul around 11:05 PM on March 6 KST. He then fled the scene and returned to his home. He was later discovered by police in the home of another acquaintance, where he underwent a breathalyzer test. His blood alcohol content (BAC) was between 0.03~0.08%, high enough to have his driver's license suspended. The police are currently investigating further details of the incident.

Meanwhile, Lee Jae Ryong was previously charged with causing an accident while driving under the influence of alcohol in 2003, having his license temporarily revoked. In 2019, he was charged with damaging private property at a bowling alley while intoxicated, although his indictment was deferred after he fully compensated for the damage. 

Lee Jae Ryong is married fellow actress Yoo Ho Jung and is the father of one son and one daughter.
