The Seoul Prosecutor's Office has rejected an arrest warrant requested by the Seoul Gangnam Police for 'Kim', a man in his thirties facing accusations of sexual assault by a female internet BJ.
The prosecutor's office rejected the arrest warrant request on April 17 KST due to "insufficient justification".
Previously, 'Kim' was arrested by police on April 14 at approximately 7 PM KST. He had dined at a restaurant with a female internet BJ after purchasing a 'dinner date' from her. After dinner, he brought the BJ to his home and attempted inappropriate physical contact. The victim then called the police, and 'Kim' was apprehended at the scene of the report. 'Kim' however, denied that there was any inappropriate physical contact, and that all contact occurred through consent.
Following 'Kim's arrest, several media outlets reported that 'Kim' was the "brother of a world famous girl group member". As a result of this identifying clue, many netizens raised suspicions that 'Kim' might be the older brother of BLACKPINK's Jisoo.
Meanwhile, also on April 17 KST, the same victim reported an anonymous perpetrator to the police after receiving a KakaoTalk message which read, "I will publicly expose your private photos online."
