BOYNEXTDOOR has officially solidified their status as rising global variety stars with the successful launch of their first regular Japanese television program. The group’s talk-variety show, 'BOYNEXTDOOR Tomodachi Base', premiered on the major terrestrial network Nippon TV on April 11, 2026 KST. This milestone marks the first time the group has hosted a fixed program on a Japanese broadcast station since their debut, reflecting the explosive demand and growing cultural influence they hold within the local market.
The program's format follows BOYNEXTDOOR as they invite artists from various industries to a virtual "secret base" to build friendships through candid conversations and activities. In the premiere episode, the members engaged in a lively encounter with popular Japanese actor Jun Shison. The group showcased their natural wit and high energy through improvisational skits and a spirited game of "Red Light, Green Light." Their approachable charm left a lasting impression on Jun Shison, who remarked that despite his usually reserved nature toward younger colleagues, he felt a strong desire to treat the members to a meal.

Following the successful first broadcast, BOYNEXTDOOR shared their ambitions via KOZ Entertainment, stating that they hope to reveal new sides of their personalities each week while bridging the gap between fans and fellow artists. The excitement surrounding the show continues to grow, as future episodes are set to feature an impressive lineup of guests, including &TEAM, INI, FANTASTICS from EXILE TRIBE, and Kota Nomura. By successfully blending their musical identity with natural entertainment skills, BOYNEXTDOOR is rapidly becoming a prominent fixture in the Japanese entertainment landscape.
