MBC’s upcoming Friday–Saturday drama 'Perfect Crown' (written by Yoo Ji Won, directed by Park Jun Hwa and Bae Hee Young) is set to premiere on April 10, raising anticipation among viewers.
Set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy version of Korea, 'Perfect Crown' tells the story of a chaebol heiress who seemingly has everything but struggles with her commoner status, and a prince who has royal lineage yet cannot possess anything he desires. The drama explores their journey as they challenge social barriers and forge their own destinies through a romance that transcends class.
Even before its official broadcast, the drama has already demonstrated strong public interest. According to Good Data Corporation, a content competitiveness and buzz analysis firm, 'Perfect Crown' ranked No. 2 in the third week of March and rose to No. 1 in the fourth week. Notably, it marks the first time an unaired drama has topped the rankings.
In addition, IU and Byeon Woo Seok ranked No. 3 and No. 4 respectively in the cast buzz rankings, further highlighting the intense interest surrounding the series. With its premiere just around the corner, 'Perfect Crown' is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated dramas of the season.
