Heeseung relaunches as EVAN, begins solo journey

Former ENHYPEN member Heeseung has officially begun a new chapter under the stage name EVAN.

On April 22 KST, EVAN attended the opening event of a color contact lens brand store at Musinsa Mega Store in Seongsu, Seoul. Fans gathered in large numbers from early in the day, filling the area to catch a glimpse of the artist.

Appearing with bleached blonde hair and dressed in an all-black suit, EVAN showcased a refined and sophisticated look. His warm gaze and gentle smile added to the atmosphere, drawing attention from attendees.

Looking ahead, EVAN is set to perform at KCON LA 2026, which will take place on August 16 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Organizers confirmed that he will participate as a special performer.

His return to official activities comes just about a month after departing ENHYPEN. At the time, his former agency explained that the decision was made in respect of his distinct musical direction, with the group continuing as a six-member team.

Since launching his personal social media accounts earlier this month, EVAN has been sharing glimpses of his daily life and music work, reconnecting with fans.

Debuting in 2020, Heeseung built a reputation for his vocal ability, rap skills, and performance presence. He also demonstrated songwriting and producing talents through tracks such as “Highway 1009” and “Dial Tragedy.”

The name EVAN holds personal meaning, reflecting a name he used in his childhood and symbolizing a new artistic identity. He expressed his intention to present his most honest and natural self through music as he steps forward as a solo artist.

With appearances already lined up, including his upcoming stage in Los Angeles, anticipation is growing for EVAN’s next move in his solo career.
