Singer and actress Hyeri is drawing renewed attention for a heartfelt gesture toward her longtime staff, following the release of a recent YouTube video documenting a special trip to the Maldives.

On April 24, Hyeri uploaded a video titled 'My Dream Destination, the Maldives… I Finally Made It' on her YouTube channel. In the video, she shares her long-awaited journey to the tropical destination, something she had repeatedly described as a personal dream.

Expressing her excitement, Hyeri revealed that the trip held deeper meaning beyond personal fulfillment. She invited her long-time hair and makeup staff to join her, explaining on the way to the airport, “They’ve worked so hard, and I wanted to create joyful memories together.”

After a long journey of approximately 17 hours, Hyeri arrived in the Maldives and was visibly moved by the scenery. “Now I understand why people come here for their honeymoon,” she said, marveling at the surroundings. Although she initially worried about the weather, her concerns quickly faded as clear skies emerged. Looking up, she admitted, “I feel like I might cry,” capturing her genuine emotional response.

During their stay, Hyeri and her team enjoyed a full itinerary, including swimming, yoga, spa treatments, and a sunset cruise. She also revealed her travel style, saying, “I like to make the most out of each day.”

The most touching moments came during a meal after filming, when staff members shared stories about Hyeri’s generosity. One staff member recalled, “I had never traveled abroad before. She suddenly told me to get a passport, and it turned out to be a reward trip to the Maldives. My first passport stamp was the Maldives,” expressing deep gratitude.

Another shared an anecdote from a drama wrap party, saying, “We went to a department store to pick a lucky draw gift. After filming, I got into the car and found a wallet left for me. My hands were shaking, I was so surprised.”

However, the story that resonated most involved Hyeri’s contract renewal. A staff member who has worked with her for seven years revealed, “When her contract was about to end, everyone was anxious. But when she renewed, she gave up her signing bonus and distributed it among the staff as bonuses. We all cried together. Since then, we felt we could never leave.”
