I.O.I unveils mood film for ‘LOOP’ ahead of long-awaited comeback

I.O.I is gearing up for its long-awaited return, revealing a new side of the group ahead of its comeback.

At midnight on April 22 KST, I.O.I released the mood film for its third mini album 'I.O.I : LOOP,' offering fans a glimpse into the group’s upcoming concept.

In the video, the members appear in colorful outfits with a vintage aesthetic, highlighting their individuality and presence even within the short clip. The release date of May 19 at 6 PM, along with each member’s English name, was also unveiled, building anticipation for the comeback.

Formed through Mnet’s 'Produce 101' in 2016, I.O.I quickly rose to fame as a “national girl group.” Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the group has drawn attention with news of its reunion after nine years. The comeback countdown officially began on April 21 with the release of a promotion scheduler confirming the album’s release date.

Alongside the new album, I.O.I will also hold the '2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: LOOP,' starting with a three-day concert in Seoul on May 29, followed by stops in Bangkok on June 6 and Hong Kong on June 20 and 21.

'I.O.I : LOOP' will be released on May 19 at 6 PM, with a pre-release track set to drop on May 4.
