IU reveals light diet, jokes about ‘bird-like’ eating habits

Singer and actress IU once again showcased her famously small appetite, drawing laughter with her candid remarks.

On April 22 KST, a new episode of the YouTube channel YouTube series “You In Radio” featured IU alongside Byeon Woo Seok. During a casual conversation segment, Byun Woo Seok shared that he had eaten a chicken burger in the car and kimchi fried rice at a salon, prompting IU to ask if that was all in one meal.

Host Yoo In Na then turned the spotlight on IU, playfully referring to her as a “small eater” and asking about her own meal. IU replied that she had only eaten an apple and blueberries, surprising those on set.

When asked if that was enough, IU jokingly responded that her stomach might make noises during the recording, but expressed confidence that the sound engineer would edit them out. Her witty comment sparked laughter among the cast.

She added that similar situations had happened before, but the sounds never made it into the final broadcast, asking those present to pretend not to notice if it happened again.
