IU has shared her unique late-night snack menu, drawing attention from fans.
On April 15, a new video titled “IU’s light late-night recipe revealed” was uploaded to the YouTube channel run by chef Ahn Sung Jae. In the video, IU made a guest appearance and opened up about her eating habits and simple cooking routine.
Currently gaining attention for her role in the new drama “21st Century Grand Prince’s Wife,” IU greeted the chef warmly, saying, “People around me really love your YouTube channel. I’m not particularly talented at cooking, but I enjoy watching and learning from it.”
Before starting, she admitted feeling nervous, joking that most guests on the show are skilled cooks and that the chefs might be surprised by her lack of experience.

During the episode, IU introduced her go-to late-night dish: a “soft tofu cheese pancake.” She explained, “I often get home late after work, and when I have upcoming schedules, I can’t always eat high-calorie foods I like. I found this recipe on YouTube.”
She added that the dish suits her preference for soft textures, noting, “Since it uses soft tofu, it’s low in calories but still tasty. I’ve made it a few times, and it turned out pretty good.”
After finishing the cooking segment, IU reflected on the experience, saying, “Working with top professionals in a field I’m unfamiliar with makes it hard to feel completely at ease. But that’s what learning is all about.”
Her honest remarks and practical recipe resonated with viewers, offering a relatable glimpse into her everyday life.
