Private wedding photos of Taecyeon, a member of 2PM and actor, have rapidly spread across Chinese online communities, once again bringing the issue of invasive fan photography into the spotlight.
According to online communities on the 27th, photos from Ok Taecyeon’s private wedding, held on the 24th at the Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Jung District, Seoul, quickly circulated primarily within Chinese platforms. The images are believed to have been taken by a hotel guest through a room window overlooking the venue. The photos have since become easily accessible on Korean online communities as well.

Similar controversies have arisen in the past. At the private wedding of actors Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki held at the same venue in October 2017, as well as the private wedding of Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin held at the Walkerhill Hotel in Gwangjin District, Seoul, in March 2022, unauthorized photos taken by foreign fans sparked heated debate.
Meanwhile, Taecyeon is set to hold 2PM’s 15th anniversary concerts in Tokyo, Japan, on May 9 and 10.
