Song Joong Ki and Katy Louise Saunders appear as special guests at ‘Kinderszenen’ concert

Actor Song Joong Ki is set to make his first official public appearance alongside his wife, British actress Katy Louise Saunders.

The couple will take part in the 7th regular concert, 'Kinderszenen,' by the Gaon Soloists on April 18 at the Seoul Arts Center IBK Chamber Hall in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

They will appear as special guests during the performance, which is themed around Robert Schumann’s 'Kinderszenen' (Scenes from Childhood). Musical actress Kim So Hyun is also listed among the special guests.

According to organizers, Song Joong Ki and Saunders will sit together on stage and deliver a reading as part of the program. It has been reported that the couple personally reached out through an acquaintance to participate in the performance.

Founded in 2021, Gaon Soloists is an inclusive chamber ensemble consisting of around 25 musicians, bringing together both disabled and non-disabled performers. While rooted in classical music, the group embraces a wide range of genres, including musical theatre, traditional Korean music, pop, and jazz. This marks the first time Song Joong Ki and Saunders will appear together before the public as a couple, drawing significant attention to what kind of stage presence they will present.

Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki married Katy Louise Saunders, a former British actress, and welcomed their first son in June 2023, followed by a daughter in November the following year. The couple now have two children, a son and a daughter.
