TWS has firmly established their reputation as performance masters following a historic victory on KBS 2TV’s 'Immortal Songs'. During the broadcast on April 18, 2026—the second part of the Yoon Il Sang special—the group achieved the first-ever "all-kill" win for an idol group in their very first appearance. TWS delivered a vibrant reinterpretation of Young Turks Club’s 1996 classic, 'Affection'. The group’s performance opened with an artistic intro that set a mysterious atmosphere, leading into a high-energy stage defined by sweet vocals, sharp rapping, and a powerful dance break. A standout moment was their flawless execution of the "scissor-kick" dance—a signature move from the original track where members cross their legs mid-handstand—performed with razor-sharp synchronization and impeccable precision.

The original composer, Yoon Il Sang, was visibly impressed, remarking, "I ended up stanning them without even realizing it. This is definitely the best dance performance among all the remakes of my songs." Takenaka Yudai, the vocalist of the renowned Japanese band Novelbright, also shared his admiration, stating, "It was a stage where their youthful energy really stood out. I felt a strong pull toward them even through the screen." Fueled by this widespread support, TWS secured a score of 427 points, defeating a veteran lineup that included Mighty Mouth x Min Young, Daybreak, Onestar, and Takenaka Yudai. The episode earned a 3.8% viewership rating according to Nielsen Korea, marking its 149th consecutive week as the top-rated show in its time slot.

The momentum continues as TWS gears up for a highly anticipated comeback on April 27 with their 5th mini album, 'NO TRAGEDY'. This follows the success of their 4th mini album, 'play hard', and the title track 'OVERDRIVE', which triggered a nationwide "whine boom" last October. The new album promises to explore themes of proactive love and resilience against fate. Furthermore, the group is set to take the global stage at 'SUMMER SONIC 2026', Japan's premier music festival, held from August 14 to 16 in Tokyo and Osaka. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the festival features a prestigious lineup including The Strokes, L’Arc-en-ciel, and Jamiroquai, signaling TWS’s rising status as a major player in the global music scene.
