TWS is earning praise for using its self-produced content not only to entertain fans but also to raise awareness about an important social issue.
The six-member group—Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin—has recently incorporated a missing children awareness campaign into its popular variety series 'TWS:CLUB.' At the end of each episode, detailed information about a missing child is displayed alongside heartfelt voice messages from the members encouraging viewers to participate in the campaign.
The initiative began with a suggestion from leader Shinyu. Earlier this year, he appeared on a television program focused on long-term missing children cases and was deeply moved by the stories he encountered.
Wanting to make a lasting impact beyond a one-time appearance, Shinyu began exploring ways to continue supporting the cause. He later proposed incorporating the campaign into the group’s own content and worked together with the National Center for the Rights of the Child and his fellow members to bring the idea to life.
Through the global fan platform Weverse, Shinyu explained his motivation behind the project.
“After learning about missing children through the broadcast, I realized how important public attention is,” he shared. “The members and I discussed how we could help more people, including our fandom 42, become aware of this issue. That’s why we decided to include the campaign in our content. It may be a small effort, but we hope to continue it moving forward.”
The campaign has resonated with fans around the world, who have praised TWS for using its platform to spread awareness and encourage meaningful participation in a cause that impacts countless families.
By combining entertainment with social responsibility, TWS continues to demonstrate the positive influence artists can have beyond the stage, delivering both enjoyment and a message that matters.
