TWS is receiving strong praise from global media for their latest release.
U.S. publication Forbes published a review of TWS’s fifth mini album 'NO TRAGEDY' on April 27, noting that the group—known for its sweet pop sound and youthful concept—has taken a significant step forward with this project. The outlet highlighted how the album maintains their signature “boyhood pop” identity while expanding into a more direct and emotionally driven narrative of love.
UK-based music magazine Clash also praised the group, describing them as artists who are not confined to a fixed image but continue to shape their identity through experience and growth. The publication added that while TWS is still in the process of defining themselves, their artistic direction has become increasingly clear.
The group’s musical evolution has also drawn attention. U.S. lifestyle outlet Sweety High commended the album for exploring a variety of genres, including house and R&B, showcasing an expanded musical spectrum. Meanwhile, Bandwagon Asia praised the title track “You, You” for its polished sound and addictive energy, noting that the group is not just following trends but creating them.
'NO TRAGEDY' centers on a theme of proactive love, portraying six boys who push beyond limits to shape their own destiny. The album’s narrative of “straightforward romance” has resonated with listeners.
Commercially, the release has also made a strong impact. The album sold over 833,000 copies on its first day, topping the Hanteo daily chart and surpassing the group’s previous cumulative sales. In addition to the title track, B-sides such as “I’ll Be Your Every Possibility” and “Why You So Bad?” entered Melon’s Top 100 chart.
Building on this momentum, TWS will begin music show promotions starting April 30 on M Countdown. A special pop-up event celebrating the album’s release is also being held at HYBE’s headquarters in Seoul through May 2.
