TWS Surpasses 1 Million Pre-Orders for ‘NO TRAGEDY’ Ahead of Comeback, Signaling Another Breakthrough

BY K-Soul · April 20, 2026

TWS has set a strong indicator toward achieving million-seller status.

According to album distributors YG Plus and Universal Records on April 20, TWS recorded a total of 1,022,807 pre-orders for their fifth mini album ‘NO TRAGEDY’ as of April 17.

This figure has already far surpassed the final pre-order total of their previous release, the fourth mini album ‘play hard’ (648,182 copies). With about a week remaining until the album’s official release, further growth is anticipated.

Over the past two years, TWS has demonstrated steady, step-by-step growth. Starting with approximately 260,000 first-week sales for their debut album, the group continued to build momentum through their second mini album (around 510,000), third mini album (around 560,000), and fourth mini album (around 640,000). With their distinctive sound dubbed “Boyhood Pop” and solid performance skills, they have expanded their global presence with each release.

The title track “OVERDRIVE” from their fourth mini album, released in October last year, gained widespread attention through the viral “aegyo challenge.” The challenge’s popularity translated into long-term success on music charts, helping TWS secure both public appeal and a dedicated fanbase, ultimately establishing them as a rising global act.

International media have also taken notice. TWS was the only K-pop artist included in Rolling Stone’s “Future 25” list this year, which highlights emerging artists leading innovation in the music industry. They have also been invited to perform at Summer Sonic 2026, one of Japan’s largest music festivals, scheduled for August.

Meanwhile, TWS will make their comeback on April 27 with their fifth mini album ‘NO TRAGEDY’. Through the new release, the group aims to tell a story of pursuing love on their own terms, refusing to be bound by fate.
