BoA to hold first concert after launching independent label

BY hjang · May 24, 2026

BoA is set to officially begin a new chapter in her career with her first concert since establishing her independent label.

On May 20, 2026 (KST), BoA announced through social media that she will hold a concert titled 'BoA THE MIC' on June 27 and 28, 2026 (KST) at Yonsei University’s Grand Auditorium in Seoul.

Her agency, BApal Entertainment, also shared the announcement on social media, writing, "The moment she stands before the mic, time begins to flow once again through BoA’s voice. The memories we’ve shared for so long, and a brand new story about to begin."

Ahead of the concert, BoA will release her new digital single 'Ain't No Hard Feelings' on May 30, 2026 at 12 AM (KST). The upcoming track marks her first music release since founding BApal Entertainment.

Previously, the agency explained that BoA chose a new management structure in order to pursue her musical direction more independently. The label name combines “BoA” with the word “pal,” symbolizing companionship and closeness.

Known as the “Star of Asia,” BoA debuted in 2000 at the age of 14 with 'ID; Peace B' after being discovered by SM Entertainment during elementary school.

She later became one of the pioneers of the Korean Wave after successfully expanding into the Japanese market in the early 2000s. In 2002, BoA became the first Korean artist to top Oricon’s daily and weekly album charts with her Japanese studio album 'Listen to My Heart', which sold more than one million copies.

In 2009, BoA also became the first Korean singer to enter the Billboard 200 chart with her self-titled English album 'BoA', helping pave the way for future generations of K-pop artists in the global music market.

Beyond music, BoA has continued expanding her career as both an actress and producer. She received praise for her performance in tvN’s 'Marry My Husband', served as a producer for rookie group NCT WISH, and released her 11th full-length album 'Crazier' last year in celebration of her 25th debut anniversary. Earlier this year, she officially concluded her 25-year partnership with SM Entertainment.
