DAY6’s Dowoon swept up in dating and marriage rumors, no response from JYP

DAY6 member Dowoon has become embroiled in dating and marriage rumors involving YouTuber Yoo Ji Yoo, the younger sister of influencer and YouTuber Yoo Hye Joo.

On May 26, JYP Entertainment responded to the speculation by stating, “We have no official position.”

The rumors began circulating after online users claimed Dowoon and Yoo Ji Yoo appeared to own matching keyrings, leading to speculation that the items were couple accessories. Additional claims also surfaced suggesting that a dog shown in photos uploaded to the social media account of one of Dowoon’s acquaintances belonged to Yoo Ji Yoo.

The speculation intensified further when online rumors spread alleging that the pair had reportedly consulted with a wedding planner, sparking not only dating rumors but also marriage rumors. However, Dowoon’s side declined to comment further, reiterating that there was no official statement.

Born in 1995, Dowoon debuted in 2015 as the drummer of DAY6 under JYP Entertainment. The band later rose to prominence with hit songs including Time of Our Life and You Were Beautiful, both of which enjoyed major chart reversals and helped establish DAY6 as one of K-pop’s leading bands.
