ENHYPEN's leader Jungwon honestly opened up about his career, the future of his team, and his personal thoughts on longevity.
Appearing as the 40th guest on Lee Young Ji's YouTube show 'I Have Nothing To Show', Jungwon was asked about the status of ENHYPEN's contract renewals and the team's existence moving forward.
Pondering for a moment, Jungwon began, "Last year, when we received the 'Daesang' at the 'MAMA Awards', Super Junior sunbaenims received an award right before our performance. They said, 'We used to think that receiving awards and recognition was important in our careers. But it turns out, the most important thing is to protect the team for as long as possible'. Thinking about those words now, I think they were right. In the end, what matters is surviving."
He then added on, "The team is the most important. Because without ENHYPEN, Jungwon has nothing. It was only because I was ENHYPEN that I became who I am. This is only thing that those of us who debuted as a team can understand. Being in a team, what you gain from having members is so huge for me. I can't say things like this to our members too often because it's too ticklish. But there is so much energy that I gain subconsciously from being with my members. I could never have come this far on my own. That's a fact."

Later, Jungwon also delved deeper into his thoughts and affection for his team. He stated, "One of the reasons that I've been in this career for this long, this career of being an idol, is because I loved the people around me. My hyungs, and the staff at the rookie development team. I loved that community, and so that is why I'm trying to take care of my people. When we all succeed together, I consider that my personal success. I know this might sound fake, but I've never personally thought of a career for myself alone. Because we all started out together."
Finally, he emphasized, "I think it's essential to always remember, 'There is no me without the team'. If that belief is broken, then the team is over."
