‘Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!’ tops Netflix charts in 3 countries, winning viewers' hearts with escape-from-daily-life variety

Netflix variety show 'Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!' has climbed to the top of the charts immediately after its release.

The series released episodes 1 through 5 on May 26. According to Netflix, the show ranked No. 1 in the 'Top 10 Series in South Korea Today' category as of May 28.

The program also captured overseas audiences beyond Korea. In addition to South Korea, 'Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!' reached No. 1 in three countries and regions overall, including Hong Kong and Singapore.

The series also ranked No. 3 in Malaysia and Taiwan, and No. 4 in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. It entered the Top 10 rankings in a total of eight countries and regions.

'Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!' is a camping-themed variety show where Yoo Jae Suk acts as the campsite host, helping guests break away from their everyday routines. Lee Kwang Soo, Byeon Woo Seok, and Ji Ye Eun joined the show as staff members.

The massive 99-acre campsite, retro-style variety games reminiscent of older Korean entertainment shows, and the comedic chemistry of “Team Yoo Jae Suk” were cited as key points of appeal.

Producer Lee So Min said, “The trusted chemistry between Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Kwang Soo, combined with the charms of Byeon Woo Seok and Ji Ye Eun, brought more love than expected from the very first week.”

She continued, “I think the genuine, unfiltered laughter created by both the guests dreaming of an escape from daily life and the cast was successfully delivered to viewers. We are happy and grateful.”

Meanwhile, episodes 6 through 10 of 'Jae Seok’s B&B Rules!' will be released on June 2.
