BY Alec06 · May 27, 2026

Ji Ye Eun emotionally revealed that she had been battling thyroid cancer.

In episode 5 of Yoo Jae Suk Camp, released on May 26, Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, Byeon Woo Seok, and Ji Ye Eun prepared a barbecue party and campfire for guests staying at the camp.

While getting ready for the barbecue, Yoo Jae Suk told Ji Ye Eun, “You’ve fully recovered now, haven’t you?” Ji Ye Eun nodded and replied, “Yes, completely.”

Yoo Jae Suk then commented, “You really can’t tell anymore,” to which Ji Ye Eun responded, “That’s right. I’m really okay now.”

However, she went on to share the seriousness of her condition. “I heard that even a tumor as small as 0.1 centimeters can spread,” she said. “But doctors told me I actually had quite a lot of tumors.”

Hearing this, Yoo Jae Suk appeared shocked and repeatedly expressed relief that she had recovered. Ji Ye Eun tearfully added, “I’m really so thankful.”

Later during the campfire scene, Yoo Jae Suk encouraged everyone to throw away the worries they wanted to let go of and make wishes for the future.

At that moment, Ji Ye Eun was seen crying quietly. Yoo Jae Suk then comforted her by saying, “As people may already know from the articles, Ye Eun was going through a difficult health situation. Thankfully, she recovered and was able to be here with us today, and I’m truly grateful for that.”

Ji Ye Eun previously halted her broadcasting activities last year, including appearances on Running Man, due to health issues. At the time, reports suggested she was suffering from hypothyroidism, though her agency declined to discuss details, calling it “private medical information.”

It was later revealed that her condition had become serious enough to require surgery. With Ji Ye Eun now disclosing that she had been battling thyroid cancer, many viewers and fans have been sending messages of support and encouragement.
