Singer and actress Krystal will officially release her second solo single “PWLT” on May 26 as part of her upcoming first solo album.
Her agency BANA announced that pre-orders for the physical CD version of “PWLT” will begin on May 15 at 2 p.m. KST and continue through midnight on May 21 via major online and offline music retailers.
Fans who purchase the album during the pre-order period will receive a special poster version different from the official poster distributed after release, increasing anticipation among collectors.
News of the upcoming single was first revealed at the end of Episode 2 of ‘Charging Crystals,’ a documentary-style series chronicling the production process behind Krystal’s solo album. The episode, uploaded to the official YouTube channel on May 13, captured Krystal’s intensive creative process while traveling between Jeju and Taiwan.
The video also drew attention for its impressive lineup of collaborators. It featured recording sessions with Kuo-Hung Tseng of Taiwanese band Sunset Rollercoaster, as well as studio work with global producer Toro y Moi and choreography practice scenes, hinting at Krystal’s distinct musical direction.
Alongside her music activities, Krystal has continued to stay active as an actress. She recently appeared in the tvN drama ‘Mad Concrete Dreams’ as Jeon Yi Kyung and also confirmed her appearance in the upcoming Korea-Japan joint film ‘I Can Hear You.’
The film has generated additional attention as it will be directed by Takamasa Oe, who previously won the Best Screenplay award at the Cannes Film Festival.
Krystal’s new single “PWLT” will be released on major music streaming platforms on May 26.
