The brother of the late actress and singer Sulli has drawn public attention after posting a pointed message seemingly directed at actor Kim Soo Hyun, amid renewed controversy surrounding allegations involving the actor.
The post came shortly after reports that claims regarding an alleged underage relationship between Kim Soo Hyun and the late actress Kim Sae Ron had been deemed false by police authorities.
According to reports, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station concluded that allegations made by Kim Se Eui, head of the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, were not credible. Authorities reportedly determined that both SNS messenger conversations and audio recordings presented as evidence had been fabricated.
Following these findings, Sulli’s older brother, identified by his surname Choi, posted a message on social media on May 21 that quickly gained attention online. He wrote: “The moment you make a comeback, the second round begins. The choice is yours.”
The phrase “make a comeback” was widely interpreted as referring to a return to public activity or the entertainment industry. The post further intensified speculation when, in response to a question from an acquaintance asking “Who did that?”, Choi allegedly replied: “There’s a guy from the stars.” Many interpreted this as a reference to Kim Soo Hyun’s hit television drama 'My Love from the Star.'
Choi has previously made claims alleging that Kim Soo Hyun’s side pressured Sulli during the filming of the 2017 movie 'Real,' in which Sulli appeared in a leading role. The latest post has reignited public discussion surrounding the ongoing tensions and past allegations, though no new legal claims have been filed in relation to the message itself.
