Singer Lee Hyori and musician Lee Sang Soon are set to appear as special part-time staff in Netflix’s upcoming variety show 'Jae-suk’s B&B Rules!,' joining forces to support Korea’s “national MC” Yoo Jae Suk in his latest unscripted entertainment project.

Premiering on May 26, the new Netflix variety program follows first-time campsite owner Yoo Jae Suk as he takes on the role of managing a large-scale camping-style guesthouse. Alongside unpredictable staff members Lee Kwang Soo, Byeon Woo Seok, and Ji Ye Eun, he welcomes guests into a 2-night, 3-day stay filled with continuous games, activities, and immersive experiences designed as an escape from everyday life.

The show highlights Yoo Jae Suk’s transformation from a polished MC into an inexperienced campsite operator, creating humor through his struggles to manage both guests and staff while navigating a tightly packed schedule. The program presents a communal camping concept that blends chaos, laughter, and unexpected moments of connection among participants.

Following the success of 'Kian’s Bizarre B&B,' this new project marks another collaboration between Netflix and producer Jeong Hyo Min’s team in the expanding “guesthouse variety” genre. The production has drawn strong anticipation for its combination of nostalgic camp elements and exaggerated, fantasy-style variety entertainment.

The released poster and teaser emphasize the program’s energetic and unpredictable tone. Yoo Jae Suk stands at the center of the campsite operations, surrounded by staff members showing a wide range of reactions, while a slogan reading “The guest is king, and I am also king” adds a comedic layer to the show’s concept and reflects the intended balance between guests and staff.

The trailer features an enthusiastic welcome from the staff as guests arrive, followed by a packed itinerary that runs throughout the entire stay. Activities include wake-up missions, morning yoga, quiz games, campfire events, talent performances, outdoor challenges, and group games such as mystery friend missions, creating a non-stop flow of entertainment.

Each staff member contributes a distinct role within the camp. Lee Kwang Soo takes on the role of a strict and comedic “disciplinarian,” Byeon Woo Seok portrays a warm yet clumsy character with unexpected charm, and Ji Ye Eun, the only staff member with prior guesthouse experience, builds close relationships with guests while guiding them through the experience.

Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon’s special appearances add further anticipation to the program. The couple will participate as guest helpers, including leading morning yoga sessions and naturally engaging with guests throughout the stay. Their presence is expected to provide a calm and experienced contrast to the high-energy atmosphere of the campsite.

The production team stated that the slogan was personally suggested by Yoo Jae Suk, reflecting the idea that both guests and staff should be treated with equal respect. However, they also noted that the demanding nature of the schedule created ongoing comedic tension, as staff members often struggled to keep up with the continuous workload, which became part of the entertainment value.

They further explained that the show aims to evoke the nostalgia of traditional camp experiences while presenting a fictional, heightened version of a guesthouse environment. By combining structured schedules reminiscent of school trips with uniquely designed games tailored to Yoo Jae Suk’s variety style, the program seeks to create a balance between familiarity and imaginative entertainment.

'Jae-suk’s B&B Rules!' will release its first five episodes on May 26, followed by episodes 6 to 10 on June 2, with the series rolling out over two weeks exclusively on Netflix.
