Singer and actor Lee Joon has taken on a surprising new role as a “couple manager,” while also openly sharing his candid thoughts about marriage.
On May 8, a video titled “I… am getting married..!!!” was released on the official YouTube channel for 'Workman.' In the video, Lee Joon visits the matchmaking company Gayeon to experience life as a one-day couple manager.
From the beginning of filming, Lee Joon grabbed attention with his honest confession: “I wasn’t interested before, but these days I watch matchmaking company YouTube videos a lot. As I’ve gotten older, there aren’t many places to meet people. Honestly, I think I would use a service like this myself.”

He also set a clear personal goal, saying he wants to get married within two years. He added that if he does not meet someone by the end of this year, he plans to officially sign up as a member of the matchmaking service next year.
Before beginning his training as a couple manager, Lee Joon filled out his own profile. Under occupation, he wrote “celebrity.”

When a consultant mentioned that “being a celebrity can be a less preferred profession,” Lee Joon responded with a self-deprecating joke, saying, “That’s true. I don’t know when I might hit rock bottom,” drawing laughter on set. He also openly listed details such as “drinks alcohol every day” and “has insomnia,” revealing a surprisingly honest and relatable side of himself.
During the experience, Lee Joon also participated in real client consultations. At one point, referencing a YouTuber who said a partner should be “someone you can kiss,” he jokingly suggested “kissable appearance” as a matchmaking criterion, sparking more laughter.

He even personally called some of the matched members, enthusiastically saying things like, “I would want to meet her myself” and “one of them is exactly my type,” showing a slightly 'too-invested,' playful approach as a stand-in manager.
At the end of the experience, Lee Joon reflected, “Helping people at such important turning points in their lives is truly fascinating.”
